Shaker time – CYCI #138

It’s Shaker card time for this week’s challenge over at Can You Case It #138.

Are they just the greatest Wow ever? I think they are definitely one of them. Here is my card for this week.

I used the Large Letters framelit dies set to create my windows and I have to say, the magnetic platform was a god-send as I was lining up my letters and getting that spacing just right! I just love all the hidden tools used to create these wonderful projects.

My shaker is filled with those lovely green flakes from the new Mica Flakes trio pack from Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday catalogue. It’s propped up using Foam Adhesives Strips, making those long lengths easy to manage.

I accented the shaker by colouring some of that lovely Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper and placing some so that it peaks out above and below the shaker.

I used the part of one stamp from the Oh What Fun stamp set, inking on the word Merry from “Merry Wishes” stamp featured in that set. I liked the curly script to contrast with the block letters of the die.

I finished off the card with some of the Candy Cane Lane twine bakers twine combo pack.
