Colour INKspiration – CI02

So I just discovered I really like this colour combination…. I haven’t used Wisteria Wonder in such a long time, there is no particular reason for this, other than being swept up by others.

Colour INKspiration

These colours for this fortnights Colour INKspiration challenge are gorgeous together… check them out.

The colours are Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Mint Macaron, Whisper White and Garden Green.

This time, I have used four of the Colours.

I’ve been playing with the amazing Window Box thinlit dies in recent weeks. There are many pieces that make up this set to adorn the delightful hexagon shaped box. I like the size of it too, it’s big enough to put a substantial gift in too. Complimenting some of the more mini sized gift box dies Stampin’ Up! already has.

I’ve punched out my pieces to make the box from Wisteria Wonder cardstock. Before assembling it, I punched all my adorning elements. This time I have used the large hexagon piece on the top and the little birthday candles piece for the sides. After assembling my box, I finished it off with a little striped ribbon in Mint Macaron, the leaf is from the Botanical builders dies and the stamps are from the coordinating Window Shopping stamp set.

Simple but nice. Here I’ve popped in a large tea light for effect.

What I really like about this thinlit set is the way it’s been constructed. All the separate pieces work together so you can make a lovely gift box. But all the adorning pieces can be used to create all sorts of decorative elements for any of your projects. I’m sure I’ll be back with loads of projects using these elements. Today, I have made a simple card to match with my gift box.

I used the birthday candles die and punched them out several times making a banner for the front of my card. With the help of some “strategically placed” gold foil and Whisper White and Garden Green cardstock, we have a lovely line of candles. I finished off the decorative element with some white bakers twine and echoed the lovely little flower from the top of my box. The “Happy Birthday” stamp is also from the Window Shopping stamp set. As it’s quite large, repeating it like this, makes for an interesting background.

The two together make a lovely complete package.
