Another fortnight has flown by and here we are at the next colour challenge for the Colour INKspiration blog hop. Welcome to you all, I hope you are enjoying all the amazing projects the design team has for you.
The colours for this fortnight are gorgeous – we have Delightful Dijon, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White and Crushed Curry.
These set is definitely not my normal comfort zone, I almost bowed out for this one … eek! But I pulled myself together, reminded myself “this is a challenge” and “you can’t just play with your favourites all the time”! I did look a little silly shaking my pointer at myself!
Crushed Curry is a favourite of mine, so I challenged myself to keep this colour to a minimum. Instead focussing on Eggplant and Dijon. This is what I came up with…
Using one of the stamps from the Delicate Details stamp set, a Sale-a-bration exclusive, I created a border across the top and left edge in Elegant Eggplant ink. Being photopolymer stamps, made it really easy to line up the design so they connect. Yes my stamp is stained, but I did take my time and it worked a treat!
I layered another piece of Whisper White on top and decorated that with some Delightful Dijon mini striped ribbon. I overlayed the ribbon with a scribble of the swirly kind and some flags. The Designer Series Paper flag is from the Moroccan collection, one is Crushed Curry and my sentiment is on Whisper White.
A funny thing with the sentiment… I wanted a small hello, but I didn’t have one on it’s own… well one this small anyway. This one is from the Beautiful Banner stamp set and the whole stamp reads “Hello, baby”, so I grabbed my Eggplant marker and inked up just the little part I needed.
I finished it off with one of those gorgeous little wooden hearts from the new Sending Love embellishment pack from the Occasions catalogue. The size worked really well with the width of the ribbon and the middle gap of the swirly scribble.

This challenge is now open and closes Monday, March 6th at 7pm. To join in, head over to our facebook challenge group and upload a photo of your project using these colours (or very similar) or a link to your blog post.
Until next time… Stamp Creatively,

Thanks Kim. That’s exactly what I did with my scribbles for this card…. I gave them a hug so they felt less neglected.
