Welcome to you all and thanks for visiting and hopping with the Colour INKspiration crew. I can’t believe another fortnight has zipped by. I was all ready for a breather once the kids went back to school – nope hasn’t happened, time is flying by way to quick.
It’s been dreary weather here in Melbourne this week, so our colour palette for this challenge is so well suited at the moment. It’s a largerly neutral palette of Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Tip Top Taupe. Then we have a zing of colour with Delightful Dijon.
I have to say, I am a late bloomer with Dijon, I just couldn’t get into the swing of it. It’s only been more recently I have played with it and of course we only have one more month before it retires. I haven’t been in the head space of neutrals for a little while, so I was challenged getting back into them. Here is what I came up with.
I’m still on the “Fond Farewell” bandwagon, so am playing with a number of retiring items. I never did use my host exclusive Time of Year stamp set as much as I would have liked. I love how you have a tiny decorative graphic stamp to coordinate with the theme of the sentiment you need. Here I have gone with a simple birthday card, with these colours they lend themselves to an Autumn feel – so I coloured the acorn and left stamp with markers and stamped a little accent.
Here I have teamed it up with some foliage from the Botanical Builders framelit set which is also retiring.
I topped it off with some mini striped ribbon in Delightful Dijon and a Classy Designer button with some Linen thread tied in a bow.
For more inspiration, head on to Lou Kitzelman. I’m sure you’ll enjoy her creativity with these challenge colours.
I can’t wait to see what you create with these colours. Head over to our Facebook challenge group here and load up your creation. Remember entries close Monday, May 8th.
Until next time… Stamp Creatively,

Just stunning Rose! You’ve inspired me to give that stamp set one last play too! Kelly x

You’ve done great things Rose using a mix of retiring things, and I too have only come to love Dijon in the last little while- now I’m sad it’s going. That mini striped ribbon is gorgeous to work with, and I love your little acorn
