Welcome to another amazing colour challenge from the Colour INKspiration team. Here we are at our 13th hop for the year already and we have a pretty cool colour combination for you to play with this next fortnight. Have a look…
Fresh Fig, Sweet Sugarplum, Lemon Lime Twist and Wild Wasabi.
Here is what I made with these colours.
I’ve been playing with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous bundle still… It just keeps calling me! This challenge I started with an old favourite stamp set, but here I am right back at this one … it’s funny how that happens, isn’t it?
Here I used Fresh Fig as my cardbase and layered that with some of that amazing Fresh Floral DSP in Fresh Fig too. Next I trimmed out a Whisper White panel (10cm x 8cm) and stamped the bottom with those cute little flowers, the line detailed one in Fresh Fig ink and then coloured it with the solid coordinating stamp in Sweet Sugarplum ink. I stamped one simple small flower outline only in the top right corner, then adhered the Fresh Fig cardstock to the edge the panel.
Using some of the lovely new Ombre Ribbon in Lemon Lime Twist, I wrapped it around the panel and adhere the whole panel to my cardbase.
I used only part of the Happy Birthday thinlit die this time, as I only wanted the “Happy” this time. I wanted to coordinate the sentiment to the birthday I was making for. In this case, it was a 40th birthday, so I used the amazing Milestone Moments stamp set to express this.
I stamped the sentiment with Sweet Sugarplum ink onto Whisper White cardstock and trimmed it tight. I overlayed this onto Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and created flags to the end to create a banner feature. I adhere this right above my ribbon. I used some Fine Tip Glue pen to adhere the Happy and finished off with some the green Glitter dots for some bling.
Next up in the hop is the ever amazing Elizabeth Gross. Hop on through the team’s inspiration. Then head over to our Facebook Challenge group and be sure to upload your creation with these colours by 7pm, Monday 24th.
Until next time… Stamp Creatively,
What I used to make this:
Snap! Great choice of stamp set! Love the combination of the Milestones greeting and the happy thinlit. Clever idea.
