What is ESAD? I hear you ask… as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator there are many different supportive groups that are available to you. This one is the Extra Special Australasia Demonstrator (ESAD) group, where demonstrators from all over the Asia Pacific come together to support, share and inspire each other.
Welcome if you are joining me from Cathy Pinchbeck or if you are starting here with me, you are in for an amazing treat. I’m so excited to be participating in my first hop with ESAD demonstrators.
Today’s hop is all about the 2017 Holiday catalogue. After my wedding card recently, I decided I wasn’t quite finished with that amazing Detailed Gate thinlit die. So here I teamed it up with some awesome products from the Year of Cheer suite.
I just love that suite! I would never have been game to team up all that blingy metallic together, usually I just use the one metallic. In this suite, they all work together seamlessly – Gold, Silver, Copper and the new Champagne foil.
I started by making the tag element first. Drawing inspiration from the catalogue, I punched the tag out from part of the Detailed Gate thinlit die from that yummy new Champagne foil sheets. I popped it over the top of some Dazzling Diamond Glimmer paper – as if there wasn’t enough bling!
I threaded one of the gorgeous elements from the Year of Cheer Embellishment pack onto some 3.2mm Real Red solid ribbon, tied it through a punched hole at the top. Then set it aside to make the rest of my card.
Softening off some Real Red cardstock with some vellum, I painted the vellum with Wink of Stella first – I know more bling right! That helped tone down some of the red. I framed the top and bottom with strips of the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper. Designing this way helped give me a way to hide the adhesive needed to stick on the vellum too.
I used a gold Foil Snowflake, which teamed up nicely with the embellishement. I used dimensionals to adhere the tag element over the snowflake.
Last was the sentiment – Merry Wishes comes from an old favourite, the Oh What Fun stamp set. I punched this out with the Classic Label punch. I wanted to frame it with some Real Red cardstock, but didn’t want anything too big. So I punched out a piece using the new Everyday Label punch, knowing it was going to be too big, I trimmed it down either side to reveal an inner strip with the semi-circles edges. Like this:
Finishing off with some of those cute mini dimensionals, I positioned the sentiment a little below the centre.
The ESAD hop continues with Barbara Williams. Enjoy the hop.
Until next time… Stamp Creatively,
