The focus for this week at Caseing The Catty is the Year of Cheer suite. I have to say… I am so in love with this suite. I never thought this much bling would go together so well!
If you are like me…. In love with this suite…. then you are in for an exciting hop tonight with our Caseing The Catty crew. Welcome if you are just joining me here or if you have hopped over from Jackie Noble.
So another funny story surrounds this card design this week. I actually created this a couple of weeks ago. I was creating for our Around The World Suite inspiration hop, as I didn’t have products from that suite, I was creating with what I did have using inspiration from that page. I was nearly done when the though struck me, we’ll be focussing on Year of Cheer in such a short time!
So my inspiration on this occasion has come from another section, but using all the yummy products that make up this gorgeous suite. Here is what I created:
Here I have added black to all this bling. I just think it matches the elegance of this suite. Starting with a Basic Black card base, I embossed a layer of the Champagne foil sheet with the Winter Wonder embossing folder.
I used a small piece of the Special Designer Series paper and adhered that with Tear & Tape. Over the top of the is a simple punched shape from Basic Black cardstock using the Everyday Label punch. I layered that with another punch from Whisper White cardstock – here I trimmed the sides down so that the punched shapes layered nicely together. (This punch is great for altered shapes!)
I stamped the sentiment and adhered it to card with dimensionals.
Next I threaded some silver 1/8” ribbon through the Year of Cheer embellishment and tied it off in a bow. I used a Glue Dot to hold this in place.
Last, I finished off with stamping a coordinating envelope with the two snowflake stamps in that set.
I hope you enjoyed my inspiration using products from this suite. For more inspiration keep on hopping through the teams blogs, I’m sure you’ll find a few ideas to help with projects you have coming up.
Next up is Elizabeth Gross.
Once you’ve hopped through and taken in all our inspiration, I’d really love to see what you create with these amazing product or see how this section of the catalogue inspires your creation. Head over to our Facebook Challenge Group and load up your creation by 6pm next Sunday 15 October.
Until next time… Stamp Creatively,

Gorgeous card Rose. The champagne foil is just lovely anyway, but it really stands out when embossed. Like how you’ve trimmed the top punch shape too
