CTC245 – Let it Snow

I’m so excited to be back hoping with some of my favourite stamping friends. It’s been a little while since blogging creatively… life has a habit of getting in the way at times doesn’t it? But here we are back with exciting inspiration from the Let It Snow section – pages 18-23 of the Holiday catalogue. Welcome if you are joining me here or if you have hopped over from Monique.

My inspiration came from the Coastal Cabana card featured top right in the above picture. I just loved the offset approach to the way in which the Designer Paper is adhered to the card base. Here is my card….

Rose Packer, Creative Roses, Stampin' Up!, Brightly Gleaming suite, Christmas Gleamining, Gleaming Ornaments

I am so in love with the Brightly Gleaming suite right now and here I have adapted the elements to fit in with the inspiration. I approached my background designer paper in the same way… two strips of Brightly Gleaming Specialty designer paper at the top and bottom and a larger panel in the middle. All adhered to the card base at angles.

I topped my card with an ornament from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and punched with the coordinating punch. I stamped the holy and berry image and fussy cut this and adhered both with dimensionals.

I used some of the coordinating ribbon from this suite as I love how it can be used like a stand alone sentiment. Then I added a few more sentiments, from the Itty Bitty Greeting stamp set, in coordinating colours which I fussy cut and adhered some with dimensionals and some flat at angles too match my designer paper.

I finished off my card with some of the Navy rhinestones from the Noble Peacock jewels pack.

Next up in the hop is the amazing Sandra Collett.

After you’ve enjoyed the awesome hop with the team, I’m looking forward to seeing your CASE over in our challenge group. Be sure to load up your creation by 6pm next Sunday night, September 15th.

Until next time… Stamp Creatively,
