CTC270 – Week 1 – Case Favourite punches and dies

Welcome to this weeks hop with the Casing The Catty Crew. For this hop, week one of retiring punches and dies, with the Casing The Catty Crew, I have heroed the Stitched Label dies.

I have drawn inspiration from page 16 of the Annual Catalogue and used this project for the basis of my card.

The project in the catalogue is a gift box. Here I have adapted this to work as a card.

Rose Packer, Creative Roses, Stampin' Up!, Stitched All Round, Stitched label dies, Woven threads, Pretty Peacock, Purple posy

On my cardbase of Whisper White thick cardstock, I have layered two patterns of Designer Paper from the Woven Threads pack. I just loved this pack as it has showcased the 2019-2021 In Colour collection beautifully. It has given them a lovely vintage feel to go with the richness of the colours. I’ve focussed my project on Pretty Peacock and Purple Posy patterns.

Next, I layered some Purple Posy cardstock over the top. Originally, I was going to leave this layer off, however interesting, I found that it needed something and this layer of plain cardstock helped to break up the pattern of the Designer Paper. Not that I considered this pattern to be busy at all, however plain made the difference.  I featured some of that gorgeous Scallop Linen Ribbon in Peacock by using a couple of strips trimmed on an angle and anchored off one corner of the sentiment.

I stamped my sentiment, this one is from the Stitched all round stamp set, in Pretty Peacock ink on some Whisper White. I love this stamp, it reminds me of one of the girls in my Stampin’ Up! team… she’s says “oh darling” all the time and I can just here her voice each time I read it. It brings a smile to my face.

I die cut it using the one of the label dies from the Stitched Labels set and adhere it on with some dimensionals. For some interest I decided to angle it slightly too. I finished off with by scattering some Faceted Dots in Peacock and Purple Posy to coordinate.

I hope you have enjoyed this little creation as we fare well the Stitched all round collections.

Next up in the hop is Judy May.

After you’ve enjoyed the awesome hop with the team, I’m looking forward to seeing your CASE over in our challenge group. Be sure to load up your creation by 6pm Sunday night, May 31st.

Until next time… Stamp Creatively,
