2016… here we come!

It’s always nice to start off the year with a lovely calendar to dress up your work area. I usually create calendars each year, I think they make lovely gifts.

The inspiration for this years design come from projects saw online. It’s a larger version of a match book style holder. The calendar leaves are individual sheets and are held in place with a clear little box, made from window sheets so that the design is not obscured.


Decoratively stamped using a minimalist artistic flair was the aim, beginning with the cover. A simple 20 16 and simple embossing starts us off. The colour scheme is Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay and Smokey Slate used with Basic Black.


The cover flips over to reveal the individual months leaves and you’ll notice the simple stamping – usually one stamp, one colour and lots of white space. Going for a contemporary arty style.
