Layered With Kindness – Online Class

Creative Club @ Home

On page 41 of Mini Catalogue, there are a collection of products that could easily be a bundle, as they all coordinate so well together. However, they are work equally well as stand alone products and can be used with many other products too.

When products like this work so well together it’s worth looking at them as a whole and that’s why I have put them together for you in a class, giving you ideas on how to use all the products together.

Here are the products:

Layered Kindness stamp set, Label Me Fancy Punch (top right), Label Me Pretty Punch (bottom right).

Each of these items are $31 each and when you buy all three together, they qualify you for a Level 1 Sale-a-Bration item. (Sale-a-Bration ends March 31st).

This stamp set is a DistINKtive one, meaning some of the stamps pick up and put down ink at different levels, allowing highlights and shadows to be present in the imagery. It features lovely imagery of leaves and flowers coupled with some useful sentiments for regular occasions.

Plus the two punches are amazing… one is a fabulous shape to decorate with and the other is cleverly constructed to also work as a tag.

In this class, you will get ideas on how to use your products to their full potential. Here are the details on the class:

Sketch Challenge – CYCI#159

It’s sketch challenge week at Can You Case It #159. We have another great little sketch, check it out:

CYCI#159_280517

Here is my design team inspiration.

Rose Packer, Creative Roses, Stampin' Up! Tranquil Tulips, Label Me Pretty

My card features a new host exclusive set, that is launching later this week called Tranquil Tulips. Here I have stamped the stems in Old Olive and the tulip flowers are in Berry Burst. It’s one of those stamp sets that has a lovely watercoloured look. I added in two buds aswell, stamping the background in Berry Burst and the seeds in Fresh Fig.

Over the top is a couple more new products coming later this week, with the launch of the 2017-18 Annual Catalogue. That lovely ribbon is Woven ribbon in Berry Burst and over the top is the Label Me Pretty stamp set and coordinating Pretty Label punch.

I stamped the Happy Birthday label stamp twice, once in fresh fig and once in Old Olive. I fussy cut the sentiment from the Olive version and adhered it over the top for some interest.

I hope you like this sneak peak of inspiration. I can’t wait to see what you create with this sketch. Head on over to our Facebook challenge group and check out the design team inspiration. Don’t forget to load your entry up by Midday Saturday, 3 June (AEST).

Colour INKspiration CI10

I’m so excited to be the first cab off the rank for this fortnights bloghop with the very talented Colour INKspiraction crew. Welcome to you all.

We have another fun colour combination for you to sink your stamps into. On the menu this time we have Cajun Craze, Island Indigo, Smokey Slate and Delightful Dijon.

For this project, I have created a tag.

Rose Packer, Creative Roses, Stampin' Up! De

I just love dressing up gifts just as much as creating a card for occasions we celebrate. So today is all about the package. I’ve kept it simple, dressing up a simple brown paper bag – but I find these the most practical. Plus they get recycled for more presents later and that’s a good thing.

I think, there is just as much work in creating a beautiful tag as there is in a card. Here I have started with Island Indigo as my tag base. Punching it at the top with Scallop tag topper and the bottom with the Triple Banner punch.

I cut a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and embossed one edge with the border pattern from the Floral Affection Embossing folders. I painted the raised impression with Clear Wink of Stella to add some additional sparkle.

RosePacker_17-33b

Underneath my flower is a stamped image from the upcoming Label Me Pretty stamp set which was punched with the coordinating Pretty Label punch.

On top is another newbie, it’s the daisy from Daisy Delight stamp set, here I have stamped two flowers in Delightful Dijon ink – one on Very Vanilla cardstock, the other is Delightful Dijon. Both flowers are punched out using the new Daisy punch. Adhering the two petals together in an offset manner gives them a full flower look. The stamen was stamped in Cajun Craze ink and punched using the ½” circle punch. Grabbing my bone folder I conditioned my petals to give them a little curl. I added some Gold Wink of Stella to the tips of the petals on the Delightful Dijon flower and Clear on the Vanilla one for additional sparkle. So hard to capture that beautiful shimmer in a photo but trust me the shimmer really adds something special to your projects.

Also in that Daisy Stamp set, is the cutest little daisy stamp – it’s a set of three daisies and here I have used them as a border along the base of my Cajun Craze layer, stamping them in Island Indigo and finished with those tiny little pearls. They are just so damn cute and will come in very handy for all kinds of different projects. Another handy little stamp is going to be that tiny “For You” from the Pocketful of Sunshine Stamp set. Here I stamped it in Cajun Crazy in the bottom corner.

I topped off my tag with some Delightful Dijon mini striped ribbon, Smokey Slate stitched ribbon and some Gold metallic thread.

Rose Packer, Creative Roses, Stampin' Up! Delightful Daisy

After attaching the tag, I decided some custom coloured tissue paper would top it off nicely. I coloured half a sheet in Cajun Craze and the other half in Island Indigo. I think it looks pretty great poking out the top of bag. A couple of gold sequins finished it off. Now I have a complete package.

What I used to make this:

Berry Lovely

I’ve been playing around with incorporating my new Stampin’ Up! toys into my existing collection of favourites. It’s always fun isn’t it, when you get new toys or new clothes to bring into the fold.

This week, my hubby asked me to make a card for a colleague of his – who has just been diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. So I put on my thinking cap. I didn’t want to make just any old “thinking of you” card, I wanted it to be uplifting and positive.

This is what I came up with…

rosepacker_17-311

I love the Lift Me Up bundle – those hot air balloons can carry me away anywhere they would like! I thought this could be nice thoughts to have for someone who is about to undergo that kind of treatment. Positive thoughts of somewhere exciting to see her through some dark days. I particularly love the sentiment – again a message of thinking of you, but it a positive way.

Plus I wanted to incorporate the colour pink – as I quite often that colour is associated with Breast Cancer awareness. Here I have used new In Colours that are coming June 1st – Berry Burst, Powder Pink and that splash of yummy Lemon Lime Twist. I’ve used some of that lovely Woven Ribbon in Berry Burst, which is just so soft.

Rose Packer, Creative Roses, Stampin' Up! Lift me up, Up and away, Pretty Label punch

Tucked in behind the large hot air balloon is another sneak peak – it’s the Label Me Pretty stamp set and Pretty Label punch. Here I have used one of the decorative stamps in Powder Pink, punched it out using the new Label Love punch. Then I have framed it using another punched piece in Berry Burst – I simply snipped it down the middle lengthwise and adhered to the stamped shaped framing it nicely.

I finished off the card with some of those incredible Glitter Enamel Dots, I love the ombre shades they come in, allowing you to choose the right shade to match in with your project, plus they give a lovely sparkle without overpowering. I popped on two in darker shades on the larger balloon and one lighter shade on the smaller balloon.

I hope this card give her the lift she needs and lets her know she’s in our thoughts.

The layout for this card came from this weeks sketch challenge over at Freshly Make Sketches #FMS288. I enjoy playing along with their fun layouts.
