Colour Challenge – CYCI#165

Over at Can You Case it? This week we have another colour challenge. Crystal has come up with a great combination of Yellow, Purple, Pink and Brown.

At first, I had to stop and think about these colours. After pulling out cardstock in these shades of colours, it started to come together and this is what I came up with.

Rose Packer, Creative Roses, Stampin' Up! Tranquil Tulips

Playing a little more with the Tranquil Tulips stamp set, I create some purple and yellow tulips by stamping the background in a lighter shade and forefont of the tulip in a darker one.

I used Wisteria Wonder for the background of my purple tulips and So Saffron for the yellow. Over the top, I stamped Elegant Eggplant for the purple and Crushed Curry for the yellow, I stamped these on some scrap and fussy cut them to adhere over the top with some dimensionals for some additional height.

I stamped the stems in Crumb cake and adhere this over the top of Powder Pink cardstock over the Crumb Cake base layer.

I topped off the card with some burlap trim and some Shimmer Ribbon in Powder Pink. I added a sentiment stamped in Powder Pink and adhered it all together with some Tear and Tape for additional strength.

With just a couple of weeks left of Can You Case it?, I would love to see you join in. Head over to the Facebook Group and see the rest of the design teams inspiration. Load up your entry by midday, next Saturday 22nd.

Here is my design team inspiration.

Rose Packer, Creative Roses, Stampin' Up! Tranquil Tulips, Label Me Pretty

My card features a new host exclusive set, that is launching later this week called Tranquil Tulips. Here I have stamped the stems in Old Olive and the tulip flowers are in Berry Burst. It’s one of those stamp sets that has a lovely watercoloured look. I added in two buds aswell, stamping the background in Berry Burst and the seeds in Fresh Fig.

Over the top is a couple more new products coming later this week, with the launch of the 2017-18 Annual Catalogue. That lovely ribbon is Woven ribbon in Berry Burst and over the top is the Label Me Pretty stamp set and coordinating Pretty Label punch.

I stamped the Happy Birthday label stamp twice, once in fresh fig and once in Old Olive. I fussy cut the sentiment from the Olive version and adhered it over the top for some interest.

I hope you like this sneak peak of inspiration. I can’t wait to see what you create with this sketch. Head on over to our Facebook challenge group and check out the design team inspiration. Don’t forget to load your entry up by Midday Saturday, 3 June (AEST).

Colour Challenge – CYCI#158

We have a cool little colour challenge this week at Can You Case It? #CYCI158 We have Pink, Green, Blue and Yellow.

CYCI#158_210517

Here is what I created with these colours.

Rose Packer, Creative Roses, Stampin' Up!, Tranquil Tulips

For this challenge, I thought I’d throw in a second challenge by using the same colours in different shade to create two cards.

It’s amazing how two cards, created very similarly can look so different when you change the shades of colour. Which one do you prefer? Subtle tones? Here I’ve used Soft Sky, So Saffron, Lemon Lime Twist and for the tulips I have used a combination Powder Pink and Blushing Bride.

Rose Packer, Creative Roses, Stampin' Up!, Tranquil Tulips

Or more bolder ones? Here I have used Blushing Bride, Pacific Point, Old Olive and for the tulips I have used a combination of Crushed Curry and So Saffron.

Here I have started playing with the amazing Tranquil Tulips – which is host exclusive set coming in the new annual starting June 1. Also in there is some of the lovely new Stitched edge ribbon!

It’s a great set and I’m sure I’ll be creating with it again very soon. In the meantime, I’d like to see what you come up with using these colours. Head on over to our Facebook challenge group and check out the design teams inspiration. Then be sure to upload your entry by midday, Saturday 27th (AEST).
