It’s a Sketch challenge over at Can You Case It? #141 this week. I really liked the layout too.
But of course I had to change it up a little, didn’t I! I rotated the sketch image by 90°. Here is my card.
Simple but cute. A strip of Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper down the left side and the sentiment across the bottom, topped off by the decorative tree image and some bling. Quick and easy too, which is quickly becoming my “go to” option as the silly season fast approaches! The sentiment is from the Banner for Christmas stamp set. The come as three separate stamps which I lined up on my clear acrylic block and coloured them using my Stampin’ Write Markers.
And don’t you just love that tree. I’ve been playing with my Merry Tags Framelit dies this week and one of them punches out this cute little tree, so that it appears in the negative. Here is what it looks like.
The tree is cut out leaving you a peak through that you can do all sorts of things with. Here I’ve popped some Silver Glimmer paper behind it, to create a sparkly tree.
This then leaves these cute little pieces of the tree you can use on other projects just like this. It is quickly becoming a favourite.
I look forward to seeing what you create with this sketch. For all the details on playing along with us this fortnight, visit the Can You Case It? website.
Until next time… Stamp Creatively,
Rose.
What I used to make these:
Love your sweet and simple card! I am working on that concept. Love the tree and really love the way you used the negative space on a tag!
