Don’t you just love a really great Guy-themed suite of products?! This week, Casing The Catty are focussing on inspiration from the Classic Garage suite – pages 42 to 55 of the Occasions catalogue. Welcome if you are joining me here or if you have hopped over from Siobhan.
I always get really excited about suites like these, I love creating for our men-folk but do find it a little more challenging. Which is not a bad thing. But sometimes, we need to create a card quickly and having suites of products on hand specifically designed for guys just makes it all the more easier and speedier.
My inspiration came from this card…. it’s the Green based one in the middle, in the main photo above.
Here is my card.
A little different from the original card, and a few more layers, but that happens some times doesn’t it?!
I went with dramatic colours of Real Red, Basic Black and Basic Gray. On a Basic Gray card base, I layered two different patterns from the coordinating Designer paper stack. Then I die cut the large collection of gears from some of that gorgeous Black foil sheets. I love how shiny they are! I layered that over the DSP and trimmed a piece of DSP with Basic Gray texture design print to layer across the top of the join.
I added a simple stamp of the muscle car and die cut to match and sentiment in black ink at the bottom. To finished off, I added a couple of the Classic Garage Metal embellishments.
Quick and simple, but dramatic and very blokey!
Next up on the hop is the amazing Peta Stephen.
After you’ve enjoyed the awesome hop with the team, I’m looking forward to seeing your CASE over in our challenge group. Be sure to load up your creation by 6pm next Sunday night, April 14th.
Until next time… Stamp Creatively,

I love the colour combo. I enjoy making masculine cards too but it does take a little more thought.
